Our newest charity for 2019 onwards is the Tiger Test for prostate cancer being developed by a team at the University of East Anglia.

In the UK 11,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year. However, most of these cancers are harmless – only 10% go on to become life threatening.  Better diagnosis will avoid unnecessary surgery and concentrate treatment resources.

The team at UEA has developed a ground breaking test which now needs to be translated into clinical practice. A total of £850,000 will be needed.  Reepham Rotary is proud to be supporting this effort.
